FatFace™ Retaining Wall Installation Guide

Excavation
	Establish a relatively level, compacted aggregate foundation along the length of the wall. Loosely place on inch of leveling sand over compacted aggregate.

Placement of First Course Blocks
	Place each block, side by side, onto the leveling sand. Level the units front to back and side to side.

Backfill First Course
	Install alignment plugs, then place drainage stone in the units, between the units, and a minimum of 12 inches behind the units.

Place Geosynthetic Reinforcement
	Lay Geosynthetic reinforcement horizontally over block and soil, assuring of proper orientation. Place soil over Geotextile reinforcement and behind drainage stone. Compact soil to proper density after each course of block.

Capping Wall
	Clean top surface of wall and fix caps with strong concrete adhesive.
